Every antenatal visit is a chance to make sure mother and baby are doing well, and to ask about anything on your mind. We record each check in your pink antenatal book so the pregnancy can be followed accurately week by week.
Alongside the physical examination we run the routine pregnancy tests on site, including urine and blood tests, MGTT for gestational diabetes and ultrasound scans. The vaccines recommended in pregnancy can also be given here.
Pregnancy brings worries too. We take time to explain results and help you prepare for the next trimester, so you go home feeling calmer.

Common questions
When should antenatal check-ups start?
As soon as the pregnancy test is positive. An early scan can be done from around week five to confirm the pregnancy and estimate how far along you are.
Can I have check-ups here and deliver at a hospital?
Yes. The records in your pink book go with you to your chosen hospital or government clinic.
